Apparently there is no limit to the depravity of the human race.  Today's school shooting in Connecticut - 27 dead, 20 of them small children - is the stuff of nightmares.  It's hard to even imagine what could've been going through the young man's mind when he killed his mother and then executed every child in her classroom.  What was he trying to ( Read more... )

I got summoned for jury duty, so I reported this morning.  I got called in the first batch and voir dire was relatively quick.  I got chosen as a juror for a criminal trial.  I was amazed at how fast they moved; once I was chosen, the trial started in less than two minutes!  They went at it hard all day, and we'll probably finish up tomorrow.  I ( Read more... )
